Well, I finally got around to updating the theme on this website. This is a theme I purchased from Chic Blog Design by the fabulous Teresa. I did minor changes to it and even added a second sidebar because I’m a 2 sidebar kind of gal. But nevertheless, I ADORE THIS THEME!!! Thanks Teresa!!

In other news…I’m sadly sick. I got a stupid cold that I am not liking one bit!! It’s a horrible non-stop cough, stuffy nose, watery eyes, and a pounding headache. I even spent the entire day in bed watching movies…that’s how much energy I have right now. I’m really looking forward to this cold going away because I can’t stand being sick.

Anyways, my photography class is done and over with for the semester. I  just had my exam the other day. Now I’m looking forward to the fall semester when I can register for some more courses I need in order to get my photography certificates. Check out some of my photos below which I submitted for an assignment. I love the flower one.

I was talking to my parents about blowing up some huge photos of my nephew Marquis to hang on the wall in our living room. The only problem is that I’ll have to find custom picture framing or else I don’t think I would be able to hang it.

I’m set on blowing up the photo you see in the picture below. I absolutely love this one. The grass just compliments him and the colours turned out terrific!! I’ll just have to see on how big I can get it to be, plus of course the pricing as well.

Wow…last night I had a crazy conversation with someone very close to me. We talked all the way up to 5:00am which is when I headed to bed.

The crazy thing is that what I’ve learned has to remain a secret. But honestly…it shocked me more than words can say. And yes…it does deal with my immediate family. I didn’t sleep at all either. I just kept thinking about these things and it just consumed every thought I had.

The thing that’s even more crazier is that it somewhat deals with my nephew (see photo off to side). I really want to write out what I learned but my lips are sealed. I can’t. It’s too crazy and would affect lots of people around me.

I just wish that the family member it deals with becomes more open to sharing things that are going on in life and have trust in me. I’m really close with this person yet they don’t fully confide in me and leave out important things. Do I understand why they are doing so? No, I don’t because we use to share everything. *sigh*

Okay…that’s all I’m saying.

I honestly do. It’s the best feeling ever to capture precious moments that won’t ever repeat in time. Maybe that’s why I want to become a photographer really bad and am working on getting all the credits I need to be certified.

Anyways, I’ve been playing around with different actions I have in my Adobe Photoshop. I even created some of my own which really had a dramatic effect on some recent photos I took. I absolutely love these two photos below.

The first is of my nephew while he was laughing at what my mom was doing. The second is of my older sister Lisa and Marquis together. Lisa is his godmother from baptism. In Portuguese we say “Madrinha” which means godmother too. LOL!

I’m sure many people got digital cameras as gifts this past Christmas. Don’t forget some basic necessities.

• memory card
• nimh batteries or other kinds
• tripod (tabletop or even gorilla pod)

I’m sure the number of accounts on Flickr will surely go up a staggering number this year. More and more people are finding photography to be a great hobby and tool where they can express themselves freely.

That’s one of the reasons why I fell in love with it. It’s absolutely great!!
