Find Out Gender & Fish Stink

Later this afternoon I’ll be receiving really exciting news. My sister is having an ultrasound done to determine the gender of her baby. I’m so excited because it’s going to be my first niece or nephew. I’m so thrilled and I can’t wait to find out what it is. I love going shopping but I can’t really buy baby clothing until I know the gender which is one reason I just can’t wait!! She said she’d call me at around 1:30-2pm. Her appointment is at 1pm. So we’ll see!!!!

I don’t think I posted about it here, but my one of my fish died some time ago. Now I only have one. Let me tell you, this little bugger dirty’s the tank up really quick. It seems I have to change it’s water every week!! Not something I look forward to but it must be done. The worst is the smell when you dump out the water. NASTY!!! I back my face away from the sink as I dump it out. It’s the most disgusting smell ever. I want to gag everytime I get a piece of the scent. Here’s a picture of the lonely fish now.


Day 16 of My Diet

I know I skipped a few days of not posting about my day and weight progress, but they just weren’t changing. In fact, it just kept bouncing back and forth. So I decided that I’ll update when a good change has occurred, such like today. I can proudly say that I am down to 285.5lbs from the 298.5lbs I weighed in when I started. I have lost a total of 13lbs since June 8th!! Woot!!

One thing that is driving me up the wall is my parents are always asking me what I want to eat for supper, how much do I want, etc etc. It’s driving me crazy because they are asking me if I want more than one hamburger (for example). Um…no thanks, just one is good enough–without the bread too!! Hahaha!

Oh ya, I also wanted to thank all of you who have been posting comments of encouragement. It really means a lot to me when I come across a new comment congratulating me on how much I lost so far. Never in a million years would I imagine that I could lose weight by making small changes in my lifestyle. It’s really an eye opener for me.

Day 12 & 13 of My Diet

Wow, it’s almost been two weeks since I started my diet on June 8th. I’ve had amazing results so far. I have lost a total of 10lbs!!! Woot!! I know, exciting news!! Hahaha

I am even going to treat myself to something special today. I’m going to the salon to get my hair done. Hopefully they do eyebrows too because I need to get mine done asap. It’s nice to see the pounds shedding off. I just can’t wait until I shed some inches off of my waist, bust, etc. Then I’ll be able to buy a different size of clothing. LOL!

Day 11 of My Diet

Because of my stupidity, I now have to rewrite my post. I hate doing that. Anyways, I was saying that I changed my layout because the other theme was getting too boring.

I am currently at 290lbs. I would like to see it in the sixties instead of still a high number. That’s all I’m saying right now because I don’t feel like rewriting everything. I am so angry right now!!


Day 9 & 10 of My Diet

This weekend has been very frustrating as far as my weight is concerned. I went back up to 291lbs. I didn’t work out much and I was eating more than I should again. I hate those eating impulses that make you just want to get a snack.

I hope today is going to be better but I’m a little concerned because it is Father’s Day. We usually get Swiss Chalet on special occasions like this. I love Swiss Chalet so I have to control the amount I’ll eat today. I’ll be working my butt off afterwards exercising.

This weight thing is not as easy as it seems. :-(


Day 8 of My Diet

So today is the end of my first week and the start of my second week on my diet. I weighed myself this morning and I weigh the same I did yesterday. So for week 1, I lost a total of 9.5lbs. Not bad at all because it meet my own expectations. I was initially going for at least a pound a day. Woot!

I’m eager to begin my second week and see how much I can lose this week. Wish me luck. :-)


Day 7 of My Diet

Now this is more like it. When I weighed myself this morning, I am already down to 289lbs. Woot!! That’s 9.5lbs gone since I started last Friday. That’s more than a pound a day which is just awesome! The funny thing is that I ate more than I should of yesterday - soup, fish, cereal, cheese, and fruits. I only exercised for about 15 minutes too.

I can’t wait until I lose more pounds that actually make it noticeable. It’s more like 40+ pounds until someone actually says, “Hey, did you lose weight?” LOL! I can’t wait for that day. hahahaha
